the perfect porcelain matched with blooms of ranunculus in an aged patina vase-

next to your grandmother's delicately hand embroidered linens.

it is enjoying a sip of tea while sitting on oversized ikat pillows,

under your favorite glowing moroccan brass and copper lanterns, enjoying the eastern colors.

Lai Grai & Friends is mixing and matching all of these inspirations without worry-

letting each aspect flow into the other.

Bricolage is defined as something that is made from materials that are readily available.

All of my work, but especially my art jewelry, is made at least in part from something that is
found, thrifted or natural.

I love to recycle common everyday items or objects from nature

into something heightened, barely recognizable, unique, and beautiful.

I come from generations of women who loved beautiful objects.

I grew up going to yards sales, estate sales and auction with my mum and gran.

I remember always trying to fit all the things we found into gran's old yellow pinto.

Now i'm always on the hunt for vintage textiles.

I get great satisfaction from rescuing a lost treasure and finding it a home where it will be loved again.
